Leather products should be maintained to extend their life. The skin in its original form, as well as all smooth skins (dyed or not), are maintained with skin varnish. It would be good to pass your leather products at least once every four months so that they do not dry out and remain soft and flexible. To rejuvenate the color, it would be good to use colored varnish. As a reference to treated leathers, suede leather products need treatment with cleansers which are usually in spray form. Stains on suede as well as nubuck leathers are treated with a special ‘eraser’.
Leather products should be stored in a dry place without moisture and in a cloth case or bag so that they breathe and do not dry out.
